The Washington, D.C., metro area is home to some of the most influential decision-makers in the world.
But what if our area also became known as a hub for some of the most effective disciple-makers in the world?
The DC Underground wants to flip things upside down!
We desire to influence our region, our nation and beyond to live not by the power of politics but by the power of Jesus. We aim to saturate D.C., Maryland Virginia and beyond with the Gospel; build God's Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven; and multiply disciples who hear, obey and share Jesus with others where they live, learn, work, and play. As a global gateway, we can reach the diaspora living in our midst who have connections to some of the world's least-reached people groups! So why not start in a place where our efforts can have an exponential impact for eternity?
Clearly, the 21st-century American Church as we know it—characterized by decades of decline, division and distrust—isn't up to this challenge.
And it needs more than just repair, revitalization or short-lived revival. It requires a radical rebuilding based on Jesus' Greatest Commandments (Matthew 22:34-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the first-century model of Church seen in the book of Acts.

DC UNDERGROUND IS A NETWORK & MOVEMENT
As disciples of Jesus from diverse backgrounds, our MISSION is to catalyze a Disciple-Making Movement across the D.C. metro area and surrounding regions through the power of the Holy Spirit and partnership around three pillars:
UPWARD Love for God
expressed by extraordinary prayer & extravagant praise

INWARD Love for God's Family
expressed by unity in Christ & fullness of the Church
expressed by unity in Christ & fullness of the Church
OUTWARD Love for God's Mission
expressed by mobilizing disciples to multiply disciples

VALUES THAT UNITE & IGNITE US
ConnectionLoving, learning from and leaning on one another as we seek to shift paradigms from the prevailing model of going to Church to being the Church we read about in the book of Acts. Our unity is relational before it is organizational; we are a family bound together by the love of God, the grace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
SaturationCo-laboring and contending for our region to be so filled with the presence of God, the love of the Body of Christ, and the Gospel of the Kingdom that it overflows far and wide. We want to see every person, people group, place, and period of time bathed in extraordinary prayer; to equip everyday missionaries to take the Gospel into all of life until no one is left who has not heard the Good News; to multiply true disciples, healthy churches, godly leaders and Kingdom movements in every neighborhood as well as the many nations that God has brought to our region--even to the ends of the earth!

CelebrationRejoicing in the immeasurable goodness of our faithful Father, Shepherd, and King as we await the coming fullness of His Kingdom. We rejoice first and foremost not in our victories, but that our names are written in His Book of Life. We delight in the ways we see Christ in one another. We celebrate all the instances—seen and unseen—of how He is working in and through us to exalt His name, so we will not grow weary of doing good when the harvest is not yet visible. We rejoice in the glory that no one has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart can imagine that is to come.

God's Vision Is Our Vision
There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb... And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ ’’
Revelation 7:9-10
