The DC Underground wants to flip things upside down!
We desire to transform our region, our nation, and beyond not by the power of politics but by the power of Jesus. We aim to saturate D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, with disciples who multiply disciples where they live, learn, work and play. As a global gateway, we can reach the diaspora in our midst who are connected to some of the world's least-reached people groups.
Clearly, the 21st-century American Church as we know it—characterized by decades of decline, division and distrust—isn't up to this challenge. And it needs more than just repair, revitalization or short-lived revival. It requires a radical rebuilding based on Jesus' Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the 1st-century model of Church seen in the book of Acts.
