EXTRAORDINARY PRAYER

"You do not have because you do not ask God."
 James 4:2
Every disciple-making movement in history has begun with extra-ordinary prayer. We have a vision to mobilize and multiply prayer focused on disciple-making principles and practices through Pray4Movement communities at the neighborhood, city, county, state and national levels.

A Pray4Maryland group, for example, currently meets every Thursday from 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Zoom. We start with celebration, sharing what God has done in the past week in our disciple-making efforts. Then we pray from a passage of Scripture, and for God to move specifically in one of Maryland's 24 counties. Finally, we pray for our upcoming disciple-making activities, trainings and engagement in the community.

Prayer Walking in our communities is a regular practice among those seeking to catalyze a disciple-making movement. Click for resources.

Streets of Prayer App

The app Streets of Prayer, developed right here in College Park, Maryland, uses an interactive prayer map and GPS tracking technology to strategically mobilize and collaborate with every believer in the world to create a web of persistent prayer in order to cover every street across the globe by 2030. EXTRAVAGANT PRAISE

"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all people. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise."

1 Chronicles 16:23-25a
The DC Underground network gathers quarterly at various locations in the metro area for a time of worship and extended prayer. Upcoming dates will be posted as available.

Christ-followers from across the region also pray and worship together as a "united front"--one Father, one Lord, one Spirit, one Body--on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle World Prayer Center in Burtonsville, MD. More details.
